Ben Kili

Ben is a Policy and Communications Officer in NPC’s Think Tank and External Affairs team, helping to create policy recommendations and organise events for NPC. He is also a trainee on the Charityworks programme.

Before arriving at NPC, Ben graduated from the University of Warwick in 2018 with a BA in Philosophy, Politics, Economics and Arabic, focusing on public policy and conflict resolution in East Africa. After university he continued to study Arabic in Beirut for one year before becoming a support worker at Dimensions UK, a non-profit and housing association in the social care sector which supports adults with autism and complex needs.

Ben previously volunteered on the advocacy team for Asylum Welcome, a charity which provides legal advice, as well as education and employment services, to support migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers in Oxfordshire.

His work interests include enabling policy change to support vulnerable communities, diplomacy, and international development.

Why I work for NPC

Working at NPC gives me the chance to contribute towards shaping policy in the social sector, learning from my colleagues and other likeminded organisations, and ultimately helping to better the lives of people who depend on charities’ services every day.
