James Somerville

James is NPC’s Policy Manager working across our policy and external affairs work. As a member of the Think Tank and External Affairs team, he helps to develop and share policies that maximise the impact of the charity sector across various sectors

Prior to joining NPC, James worked in a variety of policy areas including children’s social care, family support, housing, and public health. He also volunteered for several environmental charities. Most recently, James worked at Foundations focusing on evidence-based policy for children and families.
