Mushfik Khan

Mushfik is a Researcher in NPC’s Research and Consulting team, helping funders and charities to measure and maximise their impact.

Before joining NPC, Mushfik completed an undergraduate degree in Law and a master’s degree in International Law and International Relations. During her studies, she was selected to undertake a yearlong research project with the Human Rights Implementation Centre. The project focused on independently reviewing the public positions of three flag States, the UAE, India and Malta, in reference to the under-explored issue of flag State practice in respect to national and international human rights obligations. The project resulted in the publication of a report highlighting deficiencies in human rights protections and provided recommendations for improving state compliance which are being utilised in ongoing litigation and policy drafting.

Mushfik has also contributed to the European Human Rights Law Review in which she provided case commentaries for key cases from the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR).

Aside from this, Mushfik has spent time engaging in Pro-Bono work and has also volunteered for organisations such as Save the Children and British Red Cross. Alongside her work at NPC, Mushfik is currently undertaking a fellowship programme with Charityworks.
