NPC Ignites 2024
24 May 2024 4 minute read
How can charities use a systemic approach to tackle the biggest issues facing society? How can civil society work with the new government?
These are just some of the big questions that we’ll address at NPC Ignites 2024, our annual conference which brings together the brightest minds in the charity sector to inspire new ways of working. This year, NPC Ignites will take place on 15 October and will be available to attend in-person or online.
Here’s four reasons why you should join us:
1. Hear from the biggest names in our sector
We’ll kick off proceedings with a keynote presentation from Dr Danny Sriskandarajah, Chief Executive of New Economics Foundation (NEF), on taking a systemic approach. Danny will draw from his extensive experience to share a leader’s perspective on why a systemic approach to change is essential. The discussion will continue with Paul Johnson, Director of Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), who will look at what the data tells as about the future of the UK economy and what this means for the social sector.
In the afternoon we’ll bring you a Q&A panel session with Beatrice Butsana-Sita, Chief Executive of the British Red Cross; Fozia Irfan, Director of Impact and Influence at BBC Children in Need; and Sir Peter Wanless, Chief Executive of the NSPCC. And we’ll wrap up with a closing presentation from Catherine Roche, Chief Executive of Place2Be, who will share her reflections on a systemic approach. The full programme is now available to view on our website.
2. Learn about the latest sector trends
In the era of permacrisis, our changing landscape means that charities are having to adapt and find smarter ways of working. NPC Ignites will bring you up to speed on the latest developments via our sessions on how charities can work with the new government, the impact agenda, and AI.
We’ll also guide you through our conference theme, ‘taking a systemic approach’—from how to get started through to working in a systemic way. Whilst our breakout sessions will give you the chance to learn from our charity experts, who will lead six different sessions throughout the day.
With multiple opportunities for networking throughout the day, NPC Ignites 2024 will be the perfect opportunity for you to take a deep dive into the sector amongst peers.
3. Hear the parting thoughts of our CEO Dan Corry
Sadly, this will be Dan’s last NPC Ignites. After 13 years’ service, Dan recently announced that he will be stepping down as our CEO. NPC Ignites 2024 will be your exclusive chance to hear a keynote speech from Dan on the impact agenda.
Over the past decade, Dan has established NPC as the leading voice in improving impact for the social sector. This will be a session not to be missed!
4. Take advantage of our early bird discount
Sign up to NPC Ignites before 31 July 2024, or buy more than one ticket, to enjoy a £25 discount.
Don’t forget, we’re able to offer a number of bursary places for small charities, ethnic minority charities of all sizes, and ethnic minority representatives from charities of all sizes. To apply for our annual conference bursary places, please contact us.
