About this event
Climate change and the wider nature crises are significant issues that will impact the work of organisations across the social sector. Over the coming decades, we are likely to see more extreme weather events, reduced food security, greater migration and displacement, disruption to education and employment, increased poverty and health issues resulting from these environmental challenges. These threats will affect all charities, even if they do not have a directly environmental mission. The transition to a post carbon economy will bring opportunities and risks for all trustees to consider.
This free seminar—run in partnership with the Clothworker’s Company—explores what trustees are and should be considering regarding their charities’ relationship to the environment, ways to embed climate-related issues into their work, and how to elevate the importance of this issue to support a just and green recovery following the Covid-19 pandemic. It is aimed at all trustees regardless of their experience.
