About this event
How can trustees navigate the cost-of-living crisis?
The cost-of-living crisis is as big a crisis as Covid, possibly bigger. More and more people are no longer able to afford the essential items they need to live a dignified, healthy and happy life. People will need the help charities provide, yet charities will find it harder to support them as inflation increases their own costs and erodes the value of reserves and pre-pledged donations.
Trustees are faced with a plethora of challenges, including an increase in the type and magnitude of needs of those they support, the growing costs of providing services, fundraising challenges, and employee welfare.
So, how can trustees help their charities navigate the cost-of-living crisis?
This free seminar – with funding from and in partnership with the Clothworkers’ Company – is aimed at trustees and will explore:
- How charities can help the people they support to manage the rising cost of living
- What decisions charity boards might need to make to address the different challenges raised by this crisis
We are also actively working to improve the accessibility of our online and in-person events. As part of our commitment, for all online events we use live closed captions and upload the recordings to YouTube which has the capability to select subtitles. For in-person events we strive to use accessible venues. If you have any additional accessibility requirements that we can assist with, please email us at Events@thinkNPC.org.
