About the groups
Everyone’s Environment Funder Learning Group, co-hosted by NPC and the Environmental Funders Network (EFN)
This brand new group is for philanthropists and people working in a grant making body in the UK who are interested in the social impacts of environmental crises.
The group will be informal, with quarterly online drop-in sessions held under the Chatham House rule. We hope it will be an opportunity for you to connect with others doing similar work and hear about interesting projects and best practice from your peers. We will also signpost to existing sources of support across the sector.
Who can join:
- Whatever stage your organisation is at in your journey, you are welcome. You don’t need to have signed the Funder Commitment to Climate Change or have all the answers yet.
- This group isn’t just for environmental funders—many social groups will be impacted by a changing environment and related shifts in policy.
- We welcome philanthropy advisors directly involved in grant making. Freelancers and consultants can only attend the group as part of an ongoing project they’re currently working on, and not out of general interest or to offer services.
- Multiple people per organisation can join the group overall, but we ask that only one person per organisation attends each session.

Everyone’s Environment Charity Learning Group
This brand new group is for all charity staff working on responses to the social impacts of environmental crises—reflecting how climate change and nature loss is affecting the people you work with in your organisation’s programmes and strategy.
The group will be informal, with online drop-in sessions held under the Chatham House rule every two months. We hope it will be an opportunity for you to connect with others doing similar work and hear about what’s worked—and what hasn’t.
Who can join:
- This group is open to all charity staff working on the social impacts of environmental crises – either as an official part of your role, or as an unofficial champion.
- Unfortunately, this group is not open to consultants.
- Whatever stage your charity or organisation is at in your journey, you are welcome. You don’t need to have all the answers yet.
- Multiple people per organisation can join the group overall, but we ask that only one person per organisation attends each session.
