Jessica Weir

Jessica works in NPC’s Understanding Change team as a principal consultant, working with charities and organisations to promote learning through Theory of Change processes, and building on this detailed thinking to develop approaches to assessing their impact. She has over 10 years experience supporting colleagues from different organisations, working in a range of thematic areas, to design and deliver quality, impactful projects and programmes. Her interests lie in inclusive and participatory approaches to project design and assessment.

Jessica has experience in research and evaluation approaches which began with an MSc in Anthropology, Environment and Development at University College London, where she conducted a research project in Malawi using participatory approaches. Through this she developed an interest in examining the intersectionality of local and global challenges, for instance the impact of environmental issues on poverty.

Prior to joining NPC, Jessica worked at Restless Development as their Senior Manager for Programme Quality, supporting colleagues in Africa, Asia and the UK to design quality programmes and prioritise learning and accountability in their design, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
