Jen Tomkins

Jen Tomkins is a Principal Consultant at NPC, working with charities, funders and mission-led organisations to bring clarity and momentum to complex work. Jen helps clients align around what matters most, make practical choices, and move from ambition to action.

Jen brings a broad cross-sector background to consultancy, with more than 15 years’ experience across charities and social enterprises, sport and health, culture, creative agencies and tech. Across these settings, she has worked at the intersection of strategy, delivery, client leadership, communications and growth – helping organisations build momentum, adapt in practice and deliver meaningful change.

Her work spans strategy development, outcome-focused planning, organisational learning, facilitation, communications, and delivery. She is particularly interested in how organisations connect insight, systems thinking and clear measures of progress to create approaches that are both bold and deliverable. Her style is collaborative and pragmatic: creating space for diverse perspectives while giving teams the structure, clarity and drive to move forward.

Before joining NPC, Jen advised women’s health consultancy The Well HQ on growth strategy and delivery planning, and agency-side she held senior client leadership roles working with Arts Council England, Cancer Research UK, Google DeepMind, IOC, IUCN, Premiership Women’s Rugby, UNEP and the V&A. Her earlier roles in charities and social enterprises included leading digital change programmes, supporting impact evaluation, developing teams, and building partnerships and income-generating initiatives.
