Rahul Kulkarni
Rahul is a Senior Consultant working across strategic philanthropy and impact measurement. He advises major philanthropic organisations, including the National Lottery Community Fund and the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), on funding strategy and impact frameworks.
Rahul brings over seven years’ experience designing measurement systems and funding strategies across three continents. Before joining NPC, he was a senior impact consultant supporting foundations, CDFIs, and social sector organisations in the US and India to strengthen their impact practice and develop collaborative funding models that mobilised investment in marginalised communities.
He began his career at a grassroots NGO in Mumbai, where his policy research contributed to municipal reforms. Rahul is particularly interested in how evidence-based approaches can improve capital allocation across the impact economy, from philanthropic grants to social investment. He holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Technology from Manipal Institute of Technology.
Why NPC
NPC’s framing of the impact economy aligns with my values – seeing charity, philanthropy, social enterprise, and social investment as interconnected, not separate. The most transformative work happens when these stakeholders collaborate rather than compete, and NPC gives me the platform to help strengthen those connections.
