The event series
Across the impact economy, charities face many multifaceted challenges: increasing demand for services, a constrained funding environment, and an uncertain political landscape. Trustees have a crucial role in ensuring that organisations can thrive in this environment, deliver on their charitable mission and continue to serve those in need.
That’s why, for our 2026 event series for trustees, we are focussing on Building stronger charities: lessons for trustees. This series aims to equip trustees with the necessary know-how in guiding charities to be able to rise up to the challenges of today and the future, across some of the sector’s most pressing themes. This series is delivered with support from The Clothworkers’ Company.
In our longest series to date, we will hold six events, exploring topics which we know are at the forefront of many trustees’ minds. Our one-hour events will explore topics in depth, provide detailed guidance for trustees and present real-life examples from a range of charity and governance experts. Our 30-minute events will provide condensed and digestible learning, and provide key, actionable takeaways for trustees on complex topics.

Accessibility
We are actively working to improve the accessibility of our online and in-person events. As part of our commitment, for all online events we use live closed captions and upload the recordings to YouTube which has the capability to select subtitles. For in-person events we strive to use accessible venues. If you have any additional accessibility requirements that we can assist with, please email us at Events@thinkNPC.org.
