Home » Resource hub »
Working with the Health Foundation, we have identified practical lessons for engaging young people in policy work. This report will help you to:
- Understand why engaging young people in the policy process is good for young people and good for policy
- Prepare your project or organisation for creating meaningful engagement opportunities with young people
- Provide engaging, inclusive and mutually-beneficial activities through trust-based relationships
- Engage policy makers though the power of narratives
About this report
This report provides practical recommendations for organisations that wish to engage young people in their policy research and development activities, drawing on insights from the Health Foundation’s Young People’s Future Health Inquiry.
In particular, it is based on insights from a joint NPC-Health Foundation event held in November 2023, which brought together policy organisations, young people, and funders to discuss practical ways to put young people at the heart of policymaking.
