Funder drop-in: AI in philanthropy
In partnership with AIConfident
About this event
Please note: our funder and philanthropist drop-ins are for staff and trustees at grant-making organisations, and individual philanthropists on topics of interest to the sector.
Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the way charities and funders work: bringing efficiencies to existing processes and opening up entirely new ways of delivering impact. At NPC, we believe in harnessing innovation responsibly, guided by evidence and a commitment to equity.
This session will explore both the opportunities and challenges AI presents for philanthropy and the communities we serve:
- What does AI mean for you as a funder, and for the people and organisations you support?
- How can we ensure that AI adoption aligns with our values of transparency, inclusion, and impact?
Together, we will cover:
- Starting your AI journey: Building confidence and developing a strategy rooted in ethical principles.
- Societal implications: Understanding the benefits and risks AI brings and how to mitigate harm while maximising positive change.
- Practical insights: Case studies from grant-makers using AI to generate new insights, improve transparency, and strengthen decision-making.
We’ll also discuss:
- How funders can use AI to share learning and amplify impact across their portfolios.
- The benefits and drawbacks of grantees using AI.
Join us to explore how philanthropy can lead responsibly in an AI-driven world, ensuring progress that is fair, inclusive, and evidence-based.
Please note that this event is designed for funders and philanthropists. We may contact attendees ahead of the event to ensure it is the most suitable session for you.
