Funder drop-in: AI in philanthropy

In partnership with AIConfident

About this event

Please note: our funder and philanthropist drop-ins are for staff and trustees at grant-making organisations, and individual philanthropists on topics of interest to the sector.

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the way charities and funders work: bringing efficiencies to existing processes and opening up entirely new ways of delivering impact. At NPC, we believe in harnessing innovation responsibly, guided by evidence and a commitment to equity.

This session will explore both the opportunities and challenges AI presents for philanthropy and the communities we serve:

  • What does AI mean for you as a funder, and for the people and organisations you support?
  • How can we ensure that AI adoption aligns with our values of transparency, inclusion, and impact?

Together, we will cover:

  • Starting your AI journey: Building confidence and developing a strategy rooted in ethical principles.
  • Societal implications: Understanding the benefits and risks AI brings and how to mitigate harm while maximising positive change.
  • Practical insights: Case studies from grant-makers using AI to generate new insights, improve transparency, and strengthen decision-making.

We’ll also discuss:

  • How funders can use AI to share learning and amplify impact across their portfolios.
  • The benefits and drawbacks of grantees using AI.

Join us to explore how philanthropy can lead responsibly in an AI-driven world, ensuring progress that is fair, inclusive, and evidence-based.

Please note that this event is designed for funders and philanthropists. We may contact attendees ahead of the event to ensure it is the most suitable session for you.

Chatham House rule applies during this event.
