Systems Change Community of Practice (Sept)

About this event

Many organisations are talking about systems change. But what does it actually look like in practice? While the term is becoming more common, it can still feel abstract. Many in the impact economy are looking for practical examples to bring systems change to life.

For senior leaders, the challenge is turning this into something tangible: shaping organisational strategy, clarifying your role within a wider system, and making deliberate choices about where to focus your influence. This session creates a space to explore these challenges together, grounded in real-world examples and shared reflection.

In this session, we will be in conversation with Karla Capstick, Director of the Stoke-on-Trent Programme at Thrive at Five.

Sharing her experience of leading a programme taking a place-based systems change approach to supporting children under the age of five, we’ll hear from Karla about:

  • How to practically sequence systems change work
  • Involving different types of stakeholders
  • Considering intersecting issues
  • Expanding impact timelines to multi-years
  • Accountability and evaluation
  • Sustainable exit

Join us to gain practical insights and connect with peers committed to applying a systems lens in their organisations.

Accessibility

We are actively working to improve the accessibility of our online and in-person events. As part of our commitment, for all online events we use live closed captions and upload the recordings to YouTube which has the capability to select subtitles. For in-person events we strive to use accessible venues. If you have any additional accessibility requirements that we can assist with, please email us at Events@thinkNPC.org.
