Flora Charatan

Flora is a Consultant in the Research and Consulting team. She is currently working with a Canada-based foundation to review its grantmaking practices, and is helping a new funder to identify opportunities to fund neglected biodiversity issues in the UK. Flora also works on systems mapping, impact evaluation and theories of change for charities and funders.

Prior to joining NPC, Flora worked in Urban Solutions at the economic development consultancy Hatch. Here she developed economic strategies, funding bids and evaluations of national and local funding programmes for places in need of investment, with a focus on employment, sustainability and the built environment. She is also a Fellow of the Charityworks graduate programme where she worked at Settle housing association in Finance, Sustainability and ESG Strategy and led a research programme on fuel poverty. As a volunteer she has worked with the Nightline listening service and Citizens Advice.

Flora has degrees in Geography and Geographical Research from the University of Cambridge and is a Professional Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
