Flora Charatan

Flora is a Consultant in the Research and Consulting team, working across Strategy and Evaluation projects with a diverse range of clients. She is currently managing an evaluation of the MacArthur Foundation’s Catalytic Capital impact investing initiative, in NPC’s capacity as an Evaluation and Learning Partner. She is also working with an international history prize to develop their Theory of Change and impact measurement framework. Flora has previously worked with Canadian and UK-based funders on strategy and process review, and recently helped a new funder to identify opportunities to fund neglected biodiversity issues in the UK.

Prior to joining NPC, Flora worked in Urban Solutions at the economic development consultancy Hatch. Here she developed economic strategies, funding bids and evaluations of national and local funding programmes for places in need of investment, with a focus on employment, sustainability and the built environment. She is a Fellow of the Charityworks graduate programme where she worked at a housing association in Finance, Sustainability and ESG Strategy and led a research programme on fuel poverty. She is now a Charityworks mentor and has previously volunteered with the Nightline listening service and Citizens Advice.

Flora has degrees in Geography and Geographical Research from the University of Cambridge and is a Professional Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
