NPC would like to invite you to the online launch of our flagship State of the Sector research on 18th May 2020, 10am- 11.30am with the Minister for Civil Society and DCMS, Baroness Barran, MBE.
Now is a time of crisis for the charity sector. Beyond the immediate funding shortfall, the economic and social changes brought about by the COVID-19 outbreak will create a raft of new challenges that charity leaders will soon have to grapple with—from big questions around governance and longer-term funding models, to how to equip themselves with the tools necessary to continue delivering services over the coming year.
Following on from the summary findings released in March which were most relevant to funders and charities responding to the current COVID-19 outbreak, we will be sharing the full findings from the first phase of the research as well as our plans for the second stage, identifying how the charity sector can effectively respond and ensure its medium-long term survival.
This research will focus on helping charities to navigate the challenges and opportunities that the sector will face in the next 3-6 months. Vitally it will help them to start preparing their responses so they are best able to adapt to the new world they will be working in. It will also inform funders and government of where they need to target their funding and support.
The programme of research is aimed at supporting charities to adapt to deliver greater impact in a changing world and is supported by PwC, Barrow Cadbury Trust, Odgers Berndtson, Lloyds Bank Foundation and NPC’s Supporters’ Circle.
