Kaan Yilmazturk

Kaan joined NPC in October 2023 as a Researcher in the Research & Consulting Team. He earned his undergraduate degree in Politics with Economics at the University of Bath, specializing in his dissertation on the effects of IMF Structural Adjustment Programmes (SAPs) on European middle-class populations following the Eurozone crisis. He has recently completed his master’s degree in Development Studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Before joining NPC, Kaan gained experience as a Junior Treasury Assistant at a metal ore trading company. This experience showed him the significance of sustainable and equitable development in low and middle-income countries, transcending traditional financial approaches. He developed an interest in sustainable finance, impact investing, and philanthropy. Kaan served as a Young Impact Leader at Impact Investing Turkey (Etkiyap), where he promoted the concept of impact investing within the Turkish ecosystem.
