Romana Bruderer-Schwab
Romana works in NPC’s Research & Consulting Team as the Principal Consultant for Corporate Social Impact (CSI). A firm believer that the private sector can be a force for good, Romana is a qualified lawyer who has spent the better part of the last decade working with businesses to enhance their operations and drive social and environmental sustainability for the good of people and planet.
She possesses the technical knowledge and understanding of the complex challenges facing multinationals in the ESG, sustainability and human rights spaces and is experienced at delivering tangible, ROI-driven solutions to these challenges.
Her areas of expertise include:
- Developing tailored ESG and social and environmental impact strategies at the global and local levels.
- Prioritising strategic focus areas for a business and addressing the intersection between sustainability, human rights, DEI, accountability and transparency as part of ESG activities.
- Positioning corporate impact as a strategic imperative with senior leadership teams and key stakeholders.
- Conducting human rights and sustainability due diligence across all functions of a business.
- Designing policies, processes and programmes to effect positive change within an organisation and wider community / environment.
- Measuring the impact of an organisation’s ESG efforts on its people and society.
Prior to NPC, Romana held a strategic global role at the world’s largest law firm, Dentons, where she developed and implemented the Firm’s corporate social responsibility strategy and initiatives across 21,000+ people and 80+ countries. In addition to her native English, she is fluent in both German and Spanish.
