Monitoring, evaluating, and learning for funders
About this event
This session will focus on how funders can develop approaches to monitoring, evaluating, and learning (MEL) which produce the right evidence and insights needed to inform decision-making and improve your practice. Throughout the session we will consider how evidence can be gathered in ways which are equitable and build trust with grant-holders.
Claire Gordon, NPC’s Principal Consultant for Funder Evaluation and Learning, will support attendees to think through questions such as:
- What evidence do you need to improve your impact?
- How can you assess your own practice?
- Where might external evidence provide meaningful insights?
- How can you gather evidence in ways which are proportionate and meaningful?
- How to make the most of data and learning?
This session is suitable for all grant-makers interested in how they can improve their approaches to MEL, or develop a new framework for impact and insights. It will be interactive, so please come prepared to share.
This seminar is part of our Leading Impact series and is designed specifically for funders.
