Young people on swings

Finding a locality for our next phase

My Best Life (MBL) is NPC’s collaborative project exploring tech solutions to the challenges young people face today. Based on what we’ve learned so far, we believe the first and most important challenge to pursue is in helping young people find the services and opportunities that are suited to them, based on their needs and interests, at the times when they need it most, and in ways that give them the control over what and how they choose to engage with services.

To do so will involve mapping and codifying services and opportunities in new ways, which will help to highlight where the gaps are, and provide a model that could be replicated elsewhere. Our research has confirmed there is a vital need for this piece of work with the potential to have a significant impact on the lives of young people across the UK. Given the scale and complexity of the challenge, we intend to pilot a proof of concept in one local authority area, ensuring we focus on bringing together rich data sets to test the concept on a small scale, before replicating the model elsewhere if the concept proves successful.

NPC is now looking for a local authority to help with the next stage of this work.

We’re on the lookout for a local authority partner to work with us to develop a proof of concept for a progressive web app that connects young people with the services that meet their needs and interests. We are looking for a Local Authority partner that is committed to improving how young people discover and access services and opportunities.
