About this event

Join us at our online winter policy reception—NPC’s annual event for charity leaders and funders to come together and hear from leading government and political figures on some of the country’s biggest social issues.

This year we will be discussing how we can improve the relationship between charities and government to help rebuild and level up the country following the pandemic. With some in the sector feeling bruised by the government’s decision not to grant further recovery funding to charities in 2021, with so far only limited options for our sector to get involved in the government’s levelling up agenda, and with the ongoing saga around the appointment of a permanent Chair of the Charity Commission, the relationship between the Westminster government and the charity sector could be better.

We are delighted that Samuel Kasumu, Co-founder of Inclusive Boards and former Special Advisor to Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Clare Moriarty, Chief Executive, Citizens Advice will be joining us to share their thoughts on the event theme. The event will be chaired by Sonia Sodha, Chief lead writer for The Guardian and deputy opinion editor at The Observer.
