Systems mapping and analysis

About this event

Leading Impact: Systems mapping and analysis

Whether sparked by the experience of the pandemic, the urgency of climate change, the intersectionality of racial injustice, or the intractability of deep poverty, many in the social sector are becoming increasingly aware that addressing the highly complex nature of our problems requires new ways of thinking and working.

Systems mapping is a tool that is increasingly being used to help understand and analyse complex systems, and also to consider where   to intervene within them. This workshop is a practical introduction to systems mapping. The session will cover:

  • Introduction to systems mapping – when and why to use it
  • Different kinds of systems maps and how to build them
  • Using maps to identify leverage points for systemic change.

Hosted by NPC’s, Principal for Systems Change, Seth Reynolds, this will be an interactive session that will introduce you to simple online mapping tools so come prepared to have a go!

Bursary places

A limited number of bursary places are available for small charities, ethnic minority charities of all sizes and ethnic minority representatives from charities of all sizes. Bursary spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. Email us to apply for our bursary places.

We are also actively working to improve the accessibility of our online and in-person events. As part of our commitment, for all online events we use live closed captions and upload the recordings to YouTube which has the capability to select subtitles. For in-person events we strive to use accessible venues. If you have any additional accessibility requirements that we can assist with, please email us at Events@thinkNPC.org.
