Faith-based charities are ‘unappreciated’ and are sometimes ‘viewed with suspicion’, according to new NPC research which collected extensive data over an 18-month period. More than a quarter of charities in England and Wales have an association with faith, raising £16.3bn annually for their work in the sector, and there are misconceptions around faith-based charities which need to be addressed.
