Ruth works as a senior consultant, advising charities and funders to help them understand, measure and communicate their impact. She co-authored What makes a good charity? NPC’s guide to charity analysis, and Global innovations in measurement and evaluation.
Since joining NPC Ruth has worked across the spectrum of our work with charities large and small, as well as supporting individual philanthropists, grant-making trusts and wider shared measurement projects. She has a particular interest in campaigning and engagement, and is currently exploring community-led and place-based approaches.
Ruth joined NPC from Community Action Norfolk, where she led on policy and member engagement. Prior to that she led stakeholder relations at the NHS Confederation and worked as parliamentary researcher for the health minister Norman Lamb MP.
Why I work at NPC
I love the diversity, energy and passion of the charity sector—and at NPC I get to work with charities in a whole range of different fields to help them understand and measure their impact.
