Ruth works as a consultant, helping charities and funders understand, measure and communicate their impact. She co-authored What makes a good charity?, NPC’s guide to charity analysis.
Since joining NPC Ruth has supported smaller charities looking to develop their approach to impact measurement, as well as working with a group of NHS charities looking to develop a shared approach. She works with the Stone Family Foundation, managing grants to organisations working in water and sanitation in South Asia.
Ruth has worked in the charity sector at both local and national level. She joined NPC from Community Action Norfolk, a rural social action charity, where she led on policy and stakeholder engagement. Prior to that she worked at the NHS Confederation and as parliamentary researcher for the health minister Norman Lamb MP.
Why I work at NPC
I love the diversity, energy and passion of the charity sector—and at NPC I get to work with charities in a whole range of different fields to help them understand and measure their impact.
