Olivia Halliwell

Olivia works as a Senior Consultant within NPC’s Research and Consulting team. She is currently supporting Comic Relief with their Change Makers programme, as they support twenty projects tackling a variety of issues such as homelessness, abuse and mental health. She is also carrying out research and interviews on a project looking into volunteering infrastructure, with the goal of better understanding the national enabling environment for volunteering in the England.

Olivia brings seven years of Civil Service experience, most recently working as Chief of Staff to the HR Director at the Department for Business and Trade. Previously, Olivia worked as HR Manager and Business Partner in the Cabinet Office and Department for Energy and Climate Change respectively, gaining experience in HR programmes, DEI and employee culture.

Alongside her roles, Olivia has been an active member of the Civil Service LGBTQ+ Network, rolling out workshops and campaigning for a more inclusive Civil Service. She also spent time volunteering at ARC, an asylum seeker and refugee organisation in her Lancashire hometown, and is currently a volunteer with Friends of the Earth.

Why I work at NPC

The way NPC support charities to improve their impact capabilities, whilst innovating and influencing government, really excites me. Working at NPC gives me the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of work streams, all of which will hopefully positively affect the systems that impact the lives of others.
